Biscornus are wondeful little items that are fun to make. They can be used as pincushions or decorations. You can be creative with the finishing & they make lovely presents. They are made from a square piece of embroidery & sewn at an angle to the backing piece. When stuffed, the biscornu (wonky) shape appears. These patterns include finishing instructions. Note : most of my biscornus are embroidered on one side with plain backing as I find it gives a nice contrast & see no point in embroidering the base which you can't see properly anyway - but of course you can embroider both sides if you prefer. Play with your finishing styles - plain, beaded, fun fur & exterior blanket stitched to provide variety.
