Hi,

Welcome to my site. I have been doing various crafts for a long as I can remember. My grandma taught me to knit when I was very young & I learnt to sew using her beautiful hand driven Singer machine (which is an antique now). I enjoy crocheting, knitting, cross stitch & other embroidery, patchwork, paper crafts, using my computer, DIY & gardening.

Like most people, I started cross stitching with kits but now I prefer to go my own way, designing & sewing my own designs, using a variety of materials & experimenting with all the ideas that are continually zooming round in my head. A few years ago I came across a Blackwork pattern, tried it & have been hooked ever since. I love the geometry, the complex patterns that can be achieved & the variety of looks you can get with one pattern. I prefer a “modern” style of Blackwork with lots of motifs, instilled with my sense of humour & love of colour.

My days are busy & one thing is for sure – I never get bored !
